Industry experts Tina Fegent, Vlad Komanicky and Lenka Ornova launch Foundation Programme for Marketing Procurement
At a time when marketing procurement is being asked to do more than ever before – navigate complexity, unlock growth, and partner more closely with marketing and agency stakeholders – Marketing Procurement Mastery (MPM) has officially launched its Foundation Programme, marking a significant step forward in the development of the discipline.
MPM was co-founded by Tina Fegent, one of the pioneers of marketing procurement, Vlad Komanicky, a former marketing procurement executive, and Lenka Ornova, a finance and commercial expert. Together, they combine decades of real-world practitioner experience, through Tina Fegent Consultancy and Alchemists, with modern capability design to address a critical gap in the industry.
As marketing procurement increasingly sits at the intersection of creativity, data, AI, commercial models, and stakeholder collaboration, organisations are recognising that traditional procurement training no longer reflects the reality of the role – or the level of partnership now required between procurement, marketing, finance, and agencies.
MPM has been developed to address those gaps, providing a structured, category-specific approach to capability building that aligns with how marketing procurement actually operates today.
At the heart of MPM is the Marketing Procurement Capability Map, designed to help individuals and organisations understand, assess, and develop the skills required across the full marketing procurement landscape. It provides a clearer view of what “great” looks like across 12 key capability areas, including:
The Foundation Programme provides a practical, modular introduction to these capabilities, covering core topics such as marketing procurement fundamentals, agency ecosystems, stakeholder engagement, commercial models, and the growing role of data and AI in decision-making.
Alongside the training, MPM introduces a capability-led development approach that enables participants to benchmark their current capabilities and identify clear pathways for growth.
Tina Fegent, Co-Founder of MPM, said:
“Marketing procurement has evolved significantly over the past decade, but the way we develop capability hasn’t kept pace. We created MPM to provide a structured, practical pathway that reflects the reality of the role today, balancing commercial discipline with marketing understanding and strong stakeholder relationships.”
Vlad Komanicky, Co-Founder of MPM, said:
“What’s always been missing in the market is a clear, shared definition of what ‘great’ looks like in marketing procurement – and a practical way to measure and close capability gaps. With the MPM Capability Map, we want to base the programme on strong foundations, helping individuals and organisations move from fragmented skills to a more holistic, future-fit capability.”
The launch of the Foundation Programme follows initial development work and early engagement with industry practitioners, with further modules planned to support intermediate and advanced capability levels.
MPM has recently been awarded CPD accreditation, providing independent recognition of the programme’s quality, relevance and professional development value. Participants can use the course as part of their CPD record, while employers gain added assurance that the learning is structured, practical and aligned to the capability needs of modern marketing procurement teams.
Marketing procurement professionals, marketers, and agency leaders can explore the Foundation Programme and the MPM Capability Map through the MPM website: mpm.training
