Associate Director Category Manager
The role sits on the Americas Commercial Oncology Procurement team focused reporting to the Sr. Director of Commercial Oncology Procurement. This role will be to support the global business for the Advertising category. This role will be to plan and lead the global Oncology category strategy and lead execution of those plans in the US.
Responsibilities
- Strategy:
- Accountable for owning the implementation of the category strategy in the US and Global markets to optimize business efficiency
- Accountable for Oncology category management activities related to strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration and innovation, supplier performance management, contract and risk management
- Accountable for maintaining expert knowledge of respective US and global supply markets, competitors and innovations.
- Facilitate implementation of procurement change initiatives within category to improve business performance
Business & Supplier Engagement:
- Develop an extensive understanding of customer needs and the business environment with senior marketers. Build positive relationship with customers and ensure customer satisfaction and engagement
- Address supplier issues to ensure the highest level of service delivery. Maintains contractual and business relationships with suppliers to the highest standards
- Develops senior level relationships in order to resolve issues, optimize business performance and develop future improvement opportunities
- Own the implementation of key media performance metrics across the business and supervise progress
- Negotiate with suppliers to resolve contractual issues
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers to achieve efficient pricing and quality of services
- Drive competitive sourcing events (RFIs and RFPs) and support supplier evaluation, selection commercial negotiation and market awareness
- Review and approve annual scopes of work
- Partner with key suppliers to review savings initiatives and report to Finance team
- Instill the highest standards of compliance and ethics consistently across AZ
