Category Manager Marketing Procurement
Responsibility for development of a category sourcing
• Responsible for cost reduction and spend analysis
• Responsibility for indirect procurement activities on mainly marketing services across all Business Units and others service categories. Responsible for planning and conducting negotiations as well as leading and conducting RFPs, RFQs
• Manage relationships with strategic business partners and vendors to improve the end-to-end sourcing process, gain alignment on solutions and deliver support more efficiently
• Responsible for development, retention, and performance management of procurement personnel

Responsibilities
- [Category souring management] Manage a portfolio of vendor pool and develop a sourcing strategy for each category
- Identifies internal customer requirements. Develop and support category sourcing management and lead cross-functional resources in the identification of potential vendors
- Prepare vendor selection and evaluate the vendor’s performance
- Develop, implement and manage procurement process to meet the company’s policy
- Monitor vendor’s performance and compliance with contractual terms and conditions
- Build standards, protocols, and procedures for vendor evaluation and the criteria that go with them
- [Cost management] Determine the best options by searching the competitive price through analysis of market price and cost and make recommendations by evaluating total cost and quality of indirect productions and services
- Analyze current spend and closely monitor spend across all categories and continuously optimize cost & utilization, with particular focus on the high-spend categories
- Identify opportunities for centralizing purchasing to vendors and opportunities to reduce the company’s expenses on all purchases
- Responsible for cost reduction and streamline purchasing procedures
- Handle and structure available information to provide accurate reporting on requisitions
- [Bidding and quotation management] Proactively manage projects and conduct tenders, lead the RFP/RFQ- & selection process and prepare evaluation and analysis of offers and contracts in accordance with their business suitability and the principle of the best total value
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions and manage vendor relationships to obtain maximum value for the company’s investment
- [Stakeholder relationship management] Establish effective partnerships with both internal and external
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to gather category requirements and specifications from departments and category subject matter experts, positively align, engage, communicate and influence to achieve desired outcomes
- Build long-term and stable partnership relationships with key vendors according to headquarters’/ region’s procurement strategies, in order to maintain continuity of supply, to reduce the synthetical cost of procurement, and to obtain competitive advantage in procurement area
- Manage and mitigate vendors risks of existing vendor pool and new vendor by transparent bidding and enhancing vendor understanding of company guidelines and audit policies
- [People management] Responsible for development, retention, and performance management of procurement personnel
- Manage team roles, ensuring effective staffing and tasking
- Manage complex projects from conception through implementation, including change management
- Ensure procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards as well as company policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned by your manager from time-to-time.
